RESEARCH TOPICS

The research activities of the group are directed to the genetic study of triatomines (Hemiptera-Reduviidae) by means of cytogenetic, isoenzymatic and molecular markers.
The specific topics are summarized in the following items, as well as papers, references and summaries. You can also see the chromosome numbers of the species studied up to now.

RESOLUTION OF TAXONOMIC PROBLEMS

- Group infestans: Triatoma infestans, T. platensis & T. delpontei.
Panzera et al. 1995.

-Group sordida : Triatoma sordida, T. guasayana & T. patagonica.
 Panzera et al. 1997.

-Complex phyllosoma: Triatoma longipennis, T. mazzottii, T. pallidipennis, T. phyllosoma & T. picturata. Panzera et al. 1994. XI Cong. Latinoamer. Genética. Puerto Vallarta, México. p. 330.
